Westonka Credit Rating Aa2 by Moody’s—
Considered “Excellent Financial Security”
Westonka received a very high “Aa2” credit rating on its recent bond sales. There are only 10 Minnesota school districts which currently have higher credit ratings on their bonds, and 16 Minnesota school districts with an equivalent rating.

This rating is a direct reflection of Westonka’s strong financial management and healthy financial condition. According to Joel Sutter, Executive Vice President/Financial Advisor at Ehlers, “This is a very strong affirmation of the excellent financial management that the district has demonstrated in recent years. The credit rating is an important factor to investors…and the high rating certainly contributed to the very low interest rates...The low rates will, in turn limit the cost of the bonds to taxpayers over the next 15 years.”
