Natalie Miner Named 2024 MWHS Athena Award Winner
Mound Westonka High School is proud to name senior Natalie Miner as the 2024 recipient of the Athena Award. Candidates for this “outstanding female athlete” award must demonstrate excellence in individual or group sports. Westonka has been celebrating the top female athlete since 1973.

Mound Westonka Theatre to Present 'Footloose'
“Footloose,” the Broadway musical that features music and lyrics by Tom Snow, Dean Pitchford and Kenny Loggins, is coming to the Westonka Performing Arts Center April 11-21, with shows at 7 p.m. on April 11, 19 and 20, and 2 p.m. on April 14 and 21.

Shirley Hills Primary School Hosts 'Pastries for Parents'
Shirley Hills Primary School hosted the annual Pastries for Parents event on March 15. During this event, which took place prior to the start of the school day, parents were invited to join their children at school for a light breakfast.

Westonka DECA Advances Highest Number Ever to Internationals
Mound Westonka High School brought 166 students to the 2024 Minnesota DECA State Career Development Conference, which was held March 10-12 in Minneapolis. A school record 40 MWHS students will advance to this year’s DECA Internationals competition in Anaheim, California.

Westonka Schools 'Stuff the Bus' for Westonka Food Shelf
Excitement filled the halls of the Westonka school buildings on March 8, as students eagerly shared hundreds of food items they collected for the Westonka Food Shelf at the annual “Stuff the Bus” event. A school bus stopped at each school, where students stuffed the bus with food and cash donations collected during the March FoodShare Drive.
